Forgia app privacy
Here is what happens to your data when you use the Forgia app. In short: to create your app I send your description to an AI; what you type inside your apps stays on your phone. On this page “I” means Yousef Taha Hassan, who makes Forgia.
Updated on 5 October 2026.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Yousef Taha Hassan, Via del Pratello 103, 40122 Bologna.
For any privacy question, write to ciao@forgia.me.
What data I use
- an anonymous code for your account, created the first time you open the app: I don’t ask for your name, email or phone number;
- the descriptions and changes you type or dictate, your answers to Forgia’s questions and the code of the apps it creates, with every version;
- the sparks you have and the ones you’ve used;
- the live data your apps ask for (for example the city for the weather or the coin you want the price of);
- technical data about how the app is used and about errors: Android model and version, language, events such as “app created” or “added to Home”, crash reports;
- a check that the request comes from the real Forgia app (App Check), to stop abuse;
- the reports you send and the apps you report.
What you type inside your apps (expenses, workouts, lists, scores) stays on your phone and never reaches me.
When you dictate, your phone’s voice service does the recognition; Forgia only gets the text.
Why
- to create and change your apps and keep them, so you find them again and can go back to an earlier version;
- to bring your apps the live data they ask for;
- to count sparks and limit requests, so the service stays available for everyone;
- to see where Forgia gets stuck and improve it;
- to review reports and remove forbidden content.
I don’t use your data for advertising, I don’t sell it and I don’t give it to others for their own purposes.
Legal basis
Creating, keeping and changing your apps, live data and sparks are needed to give you the service you ask for (Article 6(1)(b) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, the GDPR).
Usage statistics, error reports, limits and abuse checks rely on my legitimate interest in keeping Forgia working and safe (Article 6(1)(f)). You can object by writing to ciao@forgia.me.
I make no automated decisions with legal effects on you. The AI only decides how to write your app and whether a request is forbidden content.
Who helps me
These providers process data on my behalf, only on my instructions (processors):
- Google, with Firebase and Google Cloud, for the anonymous account, database, files, server, statistics and error reports: the apps’ data is stored in the European Union;
- Anthropic, the AI that writes your apps: it receives the description, the changes and the app’s code, but not your account code. It does not use this data to train its models.
Live data comes from public sources (for example weather, exchange rates and prices). I call them from the server: they only get the request, such as a city name, never who you are.
Anthropic and some Google services may process data in the United States. They do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long
Your apps, their versions and descriptions stay as long as you use Forgia. If you ask me to delete them, I do so within 30 days.
Usage statistics are kept for up to 14 months. Technical logs on Google’s servers for up to 30 days.
Reports are kept as long as needed to review them, and for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a machine-readable format, or object to its processing.
Write to ciao@forgia.me: I reply within a month. Since the account is anonymous, I’ll ask for what I need to find it, such as the name and date of an app you created.
If you think your data is handled unfairly, you can complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it) or to the authority of the European country where you live.
Age
Forgia is for people aged 18 or over. The first time you open it, I ask you to confirm.
Changes
If I change this notice, I update the date above. If something important changes, I tell you in the app.
