Waitlist privacy notice
This page explains what happens to your data when you join the Forgia waitlist. In short: I use your email only to write to you about the beta and the launch. On this page, “I” means Yousef Taha Hassan, who makes Forgia.
Updated on 2 October 2026. Consent text version: lista-2026-10-02.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Yousef Taha Hassan, Via del Pratello 103, 40122 Bologna.
For any privacy question, write to ciao@forgia.me.
What I collect
- your email address;
- the language of the site you used (Italian or English);
- the date and time you gave your consent and confirmed it, with the version of the text you accepted;
- where you came from, if the link says so (for example the name of the site or campaign that brought you here).
To block abuse, such as repeated attempts, the server also keeps a scrambled fingerprint of the request’s IP address: not the address itself, not linked to your email, deleted within two days.
The technical logs of Google’s servers may keep request data, such as the IP address, for up to 30 days.
Why
To write to you about Forgia: the beta invite and the launch. I don’t use your data for advertising, I don’t sell it and I don’t pass it on to anyone else.
Legal basis
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, the GDPR). You give it by ticking the box, and you confirm it with the link you receive by email (double opt-in).
You can withdraw it whenever you want: from then on I won’t write to you. What happened before stays lawful.
For the IP fingerprint and the technical logs, the basis is my legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).
Giving me your email isn’t required: without it, I simply can’t write to you. I don’t make automated decisions about you.
Who helps me
Two providers process the data on my behalf, only following my instructions (data processors):
- Google, through Firebase, for the site and the database: the data is stored in the European Union;
- Brevo, for sending the emails: the data is processed in the European Union.
If a provider ever processes data outside the European Union, it does so with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long
Until you leave the list: from then on, I delete your data within two days. In any case I don’t keep it longer than 24 months after you signed up.
If you don’t confirm your sign-up, I delete your email after 30 days.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a machine-readable format, or object to its processing.
To withdraw your consent, use the link at the bottom of every email. For anything else, write to ciao@forgia.me: I’ll answer within one month.
If you think your data is being handled unfairly, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or to the authority of the European country where you live.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no cookies, neither for profiling nor for statistics, and no analytics tools. Even the fonts come from forgia.me, without calling outside services.
The emails contain no tracking pixels and the links aren’t tracked.
Age
The waitlist is for people aged 18 or over.
Changes
If I change this notice, I’ll update the date above. If something important changes, I’ll tell you by email.
